Dynamic Television’s Danish crime series The Sommerdahl Murders, based on the Anna Grue book IP, is set to return for an eighth season.
The series is a co-production between Dynamic Television, ZDF, ndF, Sequoia Global Alliance, and Danish broadcaster TV2. It is due to return in 2027.
“Reaching an eighth season is a testament to the enduring appeal of The Sommerdahl Murders,” said Daniel March and Klaus Zimmermann, managing partners at Dynamic Television. “The series has consistently delivered a winning combination of complex cases and character-driven storytelling season after season, and we look forward to bringing audiences another compelling chapter.”
Grue conceived of the IP as a 12-part book series; eight books have been published thus far.
