Roy MacGregor’s acclaimed book series Screech Owls, previously adapted as a live-action series, is getting an animated action-adventure treatment from Shaftesbury and Sphere Animation, in partnership with the National Hockey League and Boat Rocker Studios.

Boat Rocker Studios has greenlit its first fully financed animated series, Nano Runners, created by Industrial Brothers' co-founder Matthew Fernandes.

Boat Rocker Studios has greenlit three new unscripted originals, including Cities of Mass Construction, which will be launched to the global market at MIPCOM.

On the heels of CBBC commissioning a second season of Boat Rocker Studios’ The Next Step: Cheer, showrunners, writers, and executive producers Matt Huether and Courtney Jane Walker tell ScreenMDM about the origins of the hit series, the opportunities in the tween/YA space, and never talking down to young audiences.

Noel Hedges is joining Boat Rocker Studios to fill the newly created role of SVP of global acquisitions and content strategy, working out of the London office to drive IP acquisition, rights ownership, and co-production partnerships.
