MIP London has unveiled an expanded program exploring trends in the creator economy, including a main-stage keynote by Evan Shapiro, for its second edition next month.
More than 1,000 delegates have already registered for MIP London, which runs alongside the London TV Screenings from February 22 to 24 at The IET London and The Savoy. The expanded creator economy spotlight will deliver analysis, highlight commissioning and monetization trends, and offer structured networking through matchmaking and expert-led roundtable events.
Shapiro will deliver his keynote, The Year of Change or Die, on the Tuesday afternoon in the IET London’s Kelvin Theatre. That day, he will also stage a live recording of The Media Odyssey, co-hosted with Streaming Made Easy’s Marion Ranchet.
Snap’s Julie Boegart, Spotify’s Saruul Krause-Jentsch, and We Are Era’s Tobias Schiwek will feature on Talent as the Shortcut: How Community-led IP Scales Across Platforms, while a separate session will explore commissioning with Amie Parker-Williams of MTV Entertainment Group International, among others. There will also be a roundtable session staged in partnership with We Are Era that will include Helen O’Donnell at BBC Talentworks, Emi Geddes and Molly Lyy at Patreon, and Sam Ewen from After Party Studios, among others.
To boost matchmaking efforts, there’s an Attention Economy Leadership Lunch & Mixer with Tubefilter featuring a presentation by Adam Cunningham, chief strategy officer at Allied Global Marketing.
MIP London is also curating strands around documentary and factual, microdramas, podcasting, streaming, and AI under the theme Joining the Dots: Finding the Value.
More than 550 international buyers are registered to attend.
