Nuggit Launches £5 Million Fund for U.K. YouTube Creators

Nuggit, launched to empower digital creators, has unveiled a £5 million investment fund for YouTube talent in the U.K.

The funding pot will support high-potential YouTube creators, building on the company’s existing Creator Operating System, which has already backed more than 30 YouTubers, including the Arsenal fan channel AFTV, food travel creator Only Scrans, and lifestyle and family creator Anna Saccone. The creators backed by Nuggit have already seen revenue growth of almost 30%, and six have become full-time YouTubers. Besides funding, supported creators benefit from strategy and operational assistance.

In the U.K., YouTube creators have contributed £2.2 billion to the local economy and supported 45,000 jobs in 2024 alone, according to Oxford Economics data cited by Nuggit.

Johnny Freeland, founder and CEO of Nuggit, commented, “We’re seeing the creator economy continue to mature with more recognition of the value of a creator’s IP and the sector’s economic importance. However, the financial and operational infrastructure around it simply hasn’t kept pace. The paradox of the creator economy is that successful creators build their channels by being incredibly self-reliant and resourceful. However, at a certain point this becomes a limitation—many reach a plateau, constrained by resources, time and expertise. Creators are like any business owner or entrepreneur, where investment and support at the right time can turbocharge growth. Without it, many will fail to reach their full potential.”

Freeland continued, “To date, the financing available for all but the very largest creators has been poorly structured and difficult to access. The primary option has been the sale of their channel or IP, which isn’t a solution for creators looking to fund growth while retaining their independence. The key is providing creators with end-to-end growth support, breaking them free from the hamster wheel of being a one-person operation trying to do everything within self-funded constraints.”

Nuggit is raising further investment to build upon its AI-powered financing and analytics infrastructure, and expand its Creator Operating System into new markets, including the U.S. and Europe.
