Blue Ant Media has enlisted Penguin Random House Children’s Licensing in the U.K. and Random House Kids in the U.S. as publishing partners on BeddyByes, with Moose Toys as the toy partner.
The series has reached kids in the U.K. on BBC iPlayer and CBeebies, with episodes delivering 3.7 million viewing hours on BBC iPlayer in their first 28 days of availability. That has since doubled to 10.4 million viewing hours. The 52×11-minute preschool show is created by JAM Media co-founders John Rice and Alan Shannon and was developed in consultation with early childhood development expert Dr Jacqueline Harding. Dawn French narrates.
The first BeddyByes products will soon be arriving at retailers in the U.K., with Moose Toys plush and Penguin Random House Children’s books arriving beginning in October. The first is BeddyByes: Time for BeddyByes under the Ladybird imprint in the U.K. Three additional titles will follow in early 2027. The U.K. will also see the launch of apparel with licensees like TDP Textiles, with products planned to launch later this year.
“BeddyByes is a trusted everyday companion for families, and our consumer products strategy is designed to extend that role into meaningful moments throughout a child’s day,” said Vienna Downes, VP and GM for consumer products at Blue Ant Rights and Streaming. “Moose Toys and Penguin Random House Children’s give us a strong global foundation in play and publishing, while our growing U.K. partner roster will bring BeddyByes into more of the routines families already share. We are building a thoughtful, connected program with partners who understand the brand’s purpose and can help us deepen that trust and grow the brand over the long term.”
