Eccho Rights’ Golden Boy is headed to STAR Life in Portugal, while Disney+ across MENA is set to launch My Home My Destiny.
The deals expand a relationship that began earlier this year between Eccho Rights and Disney when STAR Life Portugal acquired Everywhere I Go and My Sweet Lie. Both Golden Boy and My Home My Destiny were made by OGM Pictures.
“To be expanding our relationship with The Walt Disney Company across two of their platforms and into a new region in the space of a few months is a real marker of where Turkish drama sits today in the international market,” said Melis Hamamcioglu, director of digital media acquisition and content sales at Eccho Rights. “The appetite among premium platforms for proven, emotionally driven content from Turkey is only growing, and we look forward to building on this further.”
