wedotv is bringing its wedotv Movies channel to Freely in the U.K.
The deal marks a significant expansion for the streaming channel in the U.K. It lands on Freely with a refreshed content lineup that includes a package of films licensed from New Regency.
Highlights of the service include The Big Short, Big Momma’s House, Oliver Stone’s JFK, Natural Born Killers, and The Negotiator.
“Launching wedotv Movies on Freely is another important step in expanding our U.K. distribution,” said Chris Sharp, chairman of wedotv. “At the same time, we are delighted to renew our relationship with New Regency. Their catalog includes some truly recognizable films and Hollywood stars, and is a great addition to the growing line-up on wedotv and wedotv Movies.”
Deep Halder, chief commercial officer at Everyone TV, added, “wedotv Movies is a great addition to Freely, giving viewers even more films to enjoy alongside the best of live and on demand TV. It adds to Freely’s growing range of entertainment, bringing free TV together over Wi-Fi, all in one place.”
