Gracenote's latest SVOD data drop—which now includes HBO Max—has found that sports is the fastest-growing category on global SVOD services, accounting for 5% of overall slates.

Sports and non-U.S. content are seeing gains across SVOD and FAST, Nielsen's Gracenote says in its February 2026 Data Hub update.

A third of streaming audiences say the fragmented landscape of content and platforms is negatively impacting their experience, and 45 percent find the options “overwhelming," according to Gracenote.
