YouTube, Sidemen & Goalhanger Set for MIP London Keynotes

The two-day creator economy strand at MIP London is set to feature main-stage keynotes from YouTube’s Pedro Pina and Goalhanger’s Tony Pastor and Sidemen’s Victor Bengtsson and Adam Cohen.

MIP London returns to IET London and The Savoy from February 22 to 24. Its creator economy strand is intended to bring together creators, platform execs, and “traditional’ content execs to explore new distribution models and collaboration.

Pina, VP for EMEA at YouTube, and Pastor, co-founder at podcasting powerhouse Goalhanger (recent recipient of an investment from The Chernin Group), will offer insights into their partnership and the expanding presence of video podcasts on content platforms.

Inside the Sidemen—Why Content Creators are Building Production Companies of the Future, meanwhile, will feature Victor Bengtsson, CEO of Sidemen Entertainment, and Adam Cohen, head of Sidemen Productions. Ian Shepherd, co-founder and co-CEO of Electrify Video Partners, will moderate the session, taking a deep dive into how the creator-led production company has expanded beyond YouTube and other social platforms. Season three of their Netflix series Inside UK lands later this year.

Patrick Svensk, CEO of PodX; Darby Dorras, chief content officer of Platform Media; and Julien Neuville, director for continental Europe at PodX, will convene for The Power of Podcast: Global Impact and Multi-Platform Distribution session.

MIP London is also hosting a sports and creator superpanel with David Salmon, MD for international at Tubi; Olivier Jollet, EVP and international GM at Pluto TV; and Walker Jacobs, global chief revenue officer and U.S. president at DAZN, with moderation by Jennifer Batty.

Another session will convene a suite of digital content experts, including MTV Entertainment Group International’s Amie Parker-Williams, Electrify Video Partners’ Ben Sinden, GloMotion Studios/WinnieWood’s Dominic Smales, and Sony Pictures Television’s Matt Ford, with Drew Baldwin of Tubefilter moderating.

The delegate count for MIP London now stands at more than 1,300, including 600 buyers. In addition to the creator economy and podcast strands, there will be sessions for execs in the formats, factual and microdrama segments, plus spotlights on AI and branded entertainment.
