The digital sports media company The Athletic has launched a hub on Fubo delivering a selection of its video content.
This marks the first CTV launch for the digital sports company, which is owned by The New York Times, and expands its Fubo alliance, which kicked off with a live streaming initiative.
Content now available on Fubo’s vMVPD platform includes full-length episodes of The Athletic Football Show, The Sports Gossip Show, Rates & Barrels, NBA Daily, The Tennis Podcast, and No Offseason. The Athletic hub will also feature short-form commentary and analysis, as well as game highlights. Select content will also be deployed on the Fubo Sports Network FAST channel.
Advertisers will be able to take advantage of multiplatform sponsorship opportunities, including homescreen takeovers, interactive CTV ads, and custom branded video content produced by The Athletic’s T Brand Studio.
“The Athletic is already a valuable partner in connecting with our shared audience of passionate sports fans, and streaming their coveted video content on Fubo is the next phase of our already successful collaboration,” said Yale Wang, EVP and head of marketing at Fubo. “The Athletic is one of the most trusted sources in sports media, and we are proud to bring their leading coverage to streaming TV in a way that’s never been done before.”
