BBC Select has commissioned from Woodcut Media the six-part series Ancients: The Greatest Finds, which Woodcut International will be rolling out at MIPCOM.

Primitives has reached a deal with Belgium's Play Media to represent an initial slate of 20 original microdrama series worldwide.

A keynote session at MIPCOM Cannes will bring together Kate Phillips, chief content officer at the BBC; Zai Bennett, CEO and chief creative officer of global content at BBC Studios; and Shelley Macintyre, CEO of brands and licensing at BBC Studios, to explore IP building.

MIPCOM Cannes has unveiled its microdrama and vertical content agenda with a raft of headline keynotes and panelists, including Anthony E. Zuiker and Holywater's Anatolii Kasianov.

MIPCOM Cannes is introducing the MIP AI Entertainment Forum this October as the technology drives a "fundamental rewiring of how content will be created, financed, distributed, and monetized globally over the next decade,” says Lucy Smith.
