RTL Group has restructured the leadership team at its German operations, led by Stephan Schmitter, following the final approval of its takeover of Sky Deutschland.

RTL Group's acquisition of Sky Deutschland has cleared its final regulatory hurdle, with the deal expected to close on June 1.

RTL+, which started the year at a new paid subscription milestone of 7 million, is partnering with HBO Max on a bundle in Germany.

RTL Deutschland started the new year with its RTL+ platform surpassing the 7 million paying subscriber mark.
