As it inches towards Care Bears‘ 45th anniversary in 2027, Cloudco Entertainment has landed a raft of licensing and retail deals in the run-up to Licensing Expo.
“What makes this moment so exciting is that Care Bears is winning on two fronts simultaneously, in pop culture and in licensing,” said Robert Prinzo, head of global licensing at Cloudco Entertainment. “The cultural pull is what attracts the quality of partners we’re announcing today. After nearly 45 years, this kind of energy is extraordinary and shows us that the best is still ahead.”
New retail partners include Uniqlo and Benetton. On the L&M side, there’s home fragrance from Scentsy, beauty products from Londontown and Burst Oral Care, tech accessories via Casetify, and apparel with Legend Brands/Gina Group, Rufflebutts, and Whatever! Makes You Happy. Plus, Blue Sky Studios is on board for stationery and everyday essentials, Sunnydays and Gemmy for gifting occasions, and Relatable for games.
Experiential entertainment is also key, plus publishing with partners such as HarperCollins Publishers, Scholastic, Running Press, and Penguin Random House UK.
